just some thoughts

So obviously I haven’t written in awhile… my apologies to any loyal fans. Often I use my blog to recap crazy or interesting events, but occasionally I do use it in more of a journal format. And while the past several weeks, particularly the past several days, have had no shortage of stories, this weekend has also been kind of enlightening in many different areas.

With everyone graduating the past several weeks, it made me look back on my past five years. It’s amazing how quickly some things can change, while others seem to change barely at all. If someone had told me a year ago where I would be today, where we all would be today, I’m not sure I would’ve believed them.

When I look back on the past year and a half in particular, I suppose one of my biggest surprises is friends in general. There are those that have faded; those that have remained constant yet ever changing; those that have come and gone and somehow returned despite bad experiences and memories; and those few that have grown, often regardless of distance.

And what does the future hold, for me and for everyone else? I suppose the only sure thing is that the next 5 years will be equally as surprising and unpredictable as the last.
