Blog Security

In the past month or so, I have had several people ask for my blog address. And, these people are of the sort that should not be reading my colorful blog. So, I ever so politely change the subject or decline their request. Today I was visiting with my Hyperion boys (Ed from a computer company that I've been prospecting for the last 5 months or so) and my blog came up in conversation. He was quite interested in my site and bugged me to give him the address. Of course I refused. But, I became very worried that Ed with all his computer expertise would be able to find my site somehow. So, I spent about a half hour tonight searching the web for my blog site. Fortunately, I had no luck. I really hope this holds true for everyone else from my work and any adults that I know. Becca thinks these sights might be secure. I really hope they are.

One thing you might look into is making it a private blog. I know that my blog gives me the option to be public or private. If it's private I believe you can 'allow' certain people to view/post/whatever it. In theory, if they aren't on your 'list' they can't see it. I'm not sure how powerful a tool it is, but it may be worth looking into. If you are really concearned you could also start a new blog under a pseudnym to hide your identity.
