I am completely exhausted. It has been 2 long weeks with little sleep. And, I imagine that the rest of the weekend won't prove much different. But, damn it's good to be back to college life.
Jessica May was up here Wed. & Thursday for an interview w/ the largest design company in Chicago--- props to Jess. Anyways, we all went out last night near Depaul for $1 beer night. It was quite a bit of fun. However, today was a little rough. I got up at 6:30 to make it to class on time today. I sat w/ someone from my classes on the El today and I think she might actually be kinda fun. Class was 4 hours today and I honestly thought I was going to pass out during the first one, but I made it in the end.
This afternoon Kate and I went to the Cubs game, where they actually managed to win by some miracle. I bought the tickets last night at Osco Drug for $35. I kind of felt like I was making a drug deal. At the game, I ended up buying a t-shirt from a little kid for $15. It's enormous though and I can't imagine how he was wearing it.
Random event of the week: On our way home from the game, we were waiting in a long line for the El and some random boy was giving me shit for wearing a patriots hat. When he didn't stop, one of his friends stepped in to tell me to just ignore him and that he was sorry. And who was this mystery person? None other than Glen Hilton from Rochester, IL. The other boy didn't stop giving me shit until Glen repeatedly told him he knew me. Glen just kept mutterring "Deborah Westfall, I can't believe it and then singing the Rochester fight song." Meanwhile, some other woman apologized to me saying that not all Cub fans were this bad. All in all, it was pretty funny.
who knows what tonight will bring. Doug is supposed to call when he gets off work, which probably won't be until 8 or so. Seriously, the boy works too much, Erik seems cranky so it may not be fun. I think Cheryl might come to the city tonight though, which I'm sure would be fun.
