Well I'm exhausted. Apparently, the 3rd time is a charm rule applies to apartment hunting as well. Kate and I found an apt. in Lakeview near the corner of Belmont and Clark (or at least I think it was somewhere around there). It's pretty small, but it's in a safe area and it's newly remodeled. Also, I think I'm only a matter of blocks from Wrigley Field, Doug, and Leanne Kuchar. Of course it was the first apartment we saw yesterday, but we went to 4 others just to be sure. Personally, I liked another one a little bit better, but that is simply b/c it was bigger and had central air. Somehow, I'm going to have to condense my belongings to the amount that Corey always had. I'm not sure that's possible though. I really need either Corey or Amy to go through my room to do this for me. In fact I would consider paying you two.
It's actually starting to sink in that I'm moving to Chicago and will be massively in debt. I think Kate may have been lucky to only have a week to be accepted and move up there (she starts school Sept. 9th and didn't find out until late Monday). 4 weeks might be just long enough to freak out, but not long enough to grow accustomed to the idea. I guess I have about 2 more weeks to get over this. I just hope that I figure my way around town, at least somewhat, relatively soon. At least now I have a pretty good picture of where all the little burrows are like Bucktown, Wrigleyville, and Lincoln Park.
By the way, I would like to try and see the Carbondale kids and St. Louis kids sometime. What are your schedules like. (Specifically Britt & Corey b/c I think I already know the others).

Congrats Deb, I knew it would happen eventually. Also, unless things have changed I'm expecting you on the 9th.
