So, there are a few other stories from Asia that I wanted to share (more for my own benefit so I can read them later).
- We survived a typhoon and an earthquake.
- I learned to say "cheers" in 3 different languages (Thailand's "seangay" was my favorite).
- Watching Alex sing Paradise City while laying on the floor with Sean performing an excellent air guitar.
- I went in a store that was 5 levels of porn... apparently Japan has no limits.
- Caroline, Kristin and I all bought fake memory disks that ended up being a piece of junk.
- Frank, the dean, did Saki bombs with us on our last night.
- I met some Singapore men in our hotel while wandering around at 2am in search of food, and they fed me Japanese Ramen and gave me beer (out of the vending machine). After an hour or so they offered me a job, but said they probably couldn't afford me, which is probably accurate.
- We were upgraded to business class on our flight to Thailand. While the rest of us slept and watched movies, Sean took advantage of the wine and champagne. Six hours later and Sean was in rare form. Just before boarding our next flight, he decided to sneak off to "use the bathroom" and grab another beer. This resulted with the 2 of us standing in line chugging and eventually with Sean falling face first onto the transport bus, losing his boarding pass in the process. (Probably one of the funniest things I've seen)
- Marcy learned to trapeze and fed wild monkeys.
- We saw the beach where The Beach was filmed and the lagoon where Jurassic Park was filmed.
- Sean was officially approached by a pimp... aka our snorkeling guide.
- We visited Putong, the sex capital of the world, without seeing anything too disturbing. We did manage to find a fake boxing match, which was comparable to WWF.
- After 5 attempts at getting a cake for Marcy's birthday, Andrew gave up and settled for "it's the thought that counts." Just as we were leaving the restaurant, the wait staff comes around the corner singing Happy Birthday in broken English. It was the cutest thing ever.
- Caroline fell in love with passion fruit... well we all did, but she was the only one who stole some from our hotel.
