The past couple of days I feel like my life is starting to get back to normal. Perhaps it’s because I’ve rejoined the rest of the world, both working and socially. Or, maybe it’s simply due to the nice weather. Either way, it has been nice to forget about everything that has been on my mind, even if for only a few days. And, I have definitely made the most of those days...

I sort of feel like I've been on an extended weekend with a couple of hours of work thrown in the middle for good measure. It all kind of began Sunday (well I went out Friday too but I've already shared those stories to those that would care) with the Southside's Irish festivities. Even though I'm not Irish, I think St. Patty's day has become my favorite random holiday. I have a lot of fun memories from the weekend, plus it seems to mark the beginning of spring in IL. Anyway, Jen and I took a school bus from McFaddens down to the parade. Even though it was just the two of us we figured we would have fun by meeting up with all of our other friends there or by making new ones. Neither of these happened, but I did still have a good time and I was extremely happy we brought our beer. However, we both agreed we wouldn't go again next year unless we could talk T, Nikki, and Kate into going as well.

Monday morning was a little rough due to Sunday's Shenanigans. Even Kate admitted that I looked like hell. After a little coffee, I felt as good as new, except for being tired. That afternoon my uncle called and offered me a free ticket to JT! Obviously, I forgot about being tired and jumped at the occasion. I quickly made some sales so that I could leave work early and win $20 so I would have cash for the night. (It's sad what I can accomplish with a little motivation.) The concert was awesome, but the traffic was beyond awful. We missed the entire opening act, and that was with allowing extra time. But Justin was good and I'm so glad they called me. It was also kind of fun to see my uncle and Steve out.

Tuesday was much worse than Monday. I got maybe four hours of sleep, which was made even worse since Sunday's sleep was not the most restful. But, I sucked it up and made it through the whole day. By the time I got home that night I'd forgotten about being tired and wanted to go somewhere to sit outside since it was 60 degrees out. I called Kate and she happened to be at a bar celebrating her new apt/condo. So, I joined her and her new roomy for awhile. Their apartment sounds awesome and I'm a little jealous. They even have a rooftop which will make the summer even more fun than it already is.

No stories from today, but I'm sure there will be more soon. Speaking of which, if anyone is bored they should come up here for the weekend. I don't have any set plans, but it's sure to be fun. I think we might attempt to see the river being dyed.
