Why is it that wedding ceremonies are always hot? I’ve been to church quite often in my life and I don’t ever remember sweating to death. Last year I went to one where a bridesmaid actually passed out.
Despite the heat, Wanless’s wedding was really nice. One of the few things I took away from this night is to always bring a date. I contemplated this fact for quite awhile before finally opting to just go alone. The whole philosophy of going alone to meet other people seems way too optimistic. Thankfully Brian and Layne let me be their third wheel for most of the evening. I suppose in all fairness I did meet one guy, but I think I was slightly turned off by the fact that he didn’t really want to say more than two words to me until I was in my dress. I guess I should be happy that at least I clean up well. After the wedding a group of us headed across the street to Hunter's, which was a gay bar. The men at this bar certainly were not as cute as the ones I’ve seen in the city. There was also a group that tried to convince Doug to dance for them. Apparently Dow and Brian danced there together the night before--- I can’t wait to see the pictures from this. Speaking of pictures, I’d appreciate it if people would email me any from the weekend.
Saturday was more than a little rough. I honestly didn’t start feeling decent until 5, and even then I wasn’t at 100%. I went to Kate’s for a barbecue, and again they outdid themselves with food. Ross is honestly an awesome cook. After that I met back up with the guys, and Doug led us to some bizarre party. Seriously, this was the weirdest thing I've been to in at least 3 years, but I can't even really explain why (sorry Doug, no offense). After our brief stay there, we headed to Grand Central which was a good time. Around 1 or so we all decided we were about ready to go home, and this decision was a little rushed when we thought Evan might end up throwin blows.
So, Dow, Evan, Kayla & Sandberg got the chance to experience my Asian frat house in it's full glory. I think the overall consensus was that it is cool, but random as hell. I mean, I had a spare mattress for Evan & Kayla to sleep on in the middle of our dining room. The next morning we all took the El back into the city, which I think took close to 2 hours after we rode it all the way to Linden. O well, guess it was still quicker than the 3 hour drive the day before. I think these 2 things alone were enough to dissuade our guests from wanting to revisit any time soon. O well, all in all it was a great weekend... even with the huge blisters that I now have on both feet.

funny you should mention this. one of my old roommates passed out at her sister's wedding when she was the maid of honor. she said that her stomach hurt but it was really the hot temperature that got to her
I would have been your date...I could've found myself a boy afterwards...btw, my life sucks and so does Allstate Insurance.
