This past week has honestly been one of those weeks where nothing seems to go right, and just when you think it can't get any worse, it does. I'll save you the all the mellow-drama and just cut to my Sunday night.
I got home Sunday around 11:30 and was extremely excited to sleep in my own bed. Hill was about to walk Maddie so I stepped outside w/ them. Bad idea. We ended up getting locked out. Laurel ended up being at the bar and neither of us new her number since our phones were locked in the house. So, we walked down the street to El Presidente where I attempted to explain to Spanish speaking workers that we needed to borrow a phone and a phone book b/c we had gotten locked out. That really didn't work and I ended up ripping the page out of the phone book and walking down the street to a bar instead. After about 15 calls I managed to find a locksmith willing to help. It took another 10 minutes for me to explain to him that we didn't have a phone so we would simply wait on our front porch. Hill, Maddie and I then proceeded to sit on our front stoop for the next hour. In the rain. Did I mention that it has rained here for the last week and a half straight (literally).
Anyway, the guy eventually came and $135 later we were safe and sound inside. It was now 1:30 at night and Maddie decided she was no longer tired. So, she decided to do sprints in my room and take a crap in her favorite spot while I was in the middle of changing, even though she had just been outside for the last 2.5 hours (I was so annoyed at this point I almost ran her outside w/o my shirt on).
To make the whole story better, Laurel showed up a mere 20 minutes after we got inside. O well, what can you do. While this story is kind of funny looking back, there was honestly a point where I broke down and just started crying b/c I was too overwhelmed.

Btw, this was the second time that I was locked out in a week - Becca managed to lock me out on Wednesday.
Sounds like my life...
