Being a Cardinal fan, I would love for them to win this year. However, I think it would also be cool if the Sox win. No matter what, it's always fun to be in a local bar when the hometown wins. Now my problem would be if the two happen to play each other. What then? I might get beat up if I wear a Cards hat around. But, I did get someone to tell what bar all the fans congregate at, so maybe it will be ok. By the way, I actually went out w/ some people from school the other night. It was short, but still fun. Also, I bet anything that Corey writes a post sometime in the near future about people our age having babies and getting married. Mark my words.

Alison and Cheryl are both supposed to be coming this weekend. So, hopefully it will be fun. I don't think we're doing anything Friday though b/c Alison wants to be prepared to shop on Saturday and I have a study date w/ Doug (or at least that was the plan last night).

Stick with your roots on this one. Would you have given a shit if the Sox would have made it prior to living in Chicago? That's what I thought.

Also, regarding your "study date" partner, Doug Standerfer...if he jumps on the White Sox band wagon, I seriously think I might shit myself. He did a 180 and became a Cubs fan since he's now a Chicagoan, despite living there for barely over a year.

This is morally wrong and he has been ostracized by the Cardinals community for it. However, if he now feels that he's a White Sox fan because....guess what.....they're in Chicago too, I will never talk to him again.

I agree, once your a TRUE Cardinals Fan, you're a fan for life. Look at Bryan, he moved to Cinncy, but still supports the Cards. Now that's a true fan!

I support them, tha twas never really the question. I just don't want to get beat up. and as for doug, i went to a bar w/ him the other night while they were both playing and he said that he isn't a sox fan, but that he is anti cardinal. guess that means he is now a die hard cub fan. actually, for that matter, Kate and I got into a big discussion last weekend w/ him, Tom, and Jim about the whole cardinal following in Chicago. they think we're haters b/c we have to move up to chicago to have a decent job yet we still support our team. whatever.

So do me and Dow not have decent jobs? Is that what Doug is saying? I can't speak for Dow, but I would have to say that I would agree with him on that one.

who knew mentioning the playoffs would become such a controversial issue. I usually don't get this much response unless i openly talk shit about someone or i put up an interesting picture.

you'll have to talk to those guys about the whole job thing. maybe if you're lucky you and Doug can get into another hour long fight over which city is better. that should be fun.

In Brittany's defense:

I don't even think that it was a fight over which city is better as there is no debate....just look at the Cardinals, Ms. Hackmann, and myself. It was a fight over whether or not Chicago is "dirty" that Doug apparently took to heart being that his beloved Cubs play there.

How great would it be for the Cardinals and White Sox to play in the series. The two most hated enemies of Cub fans playing in the series the Cubs haven't been to in around a century.
