What to Say

Well, this week ended up being much better than the past couple, even though it had a rather sad ending.  I’m finally feeling better and am in a much better mood.  And, thanks to everyone for putting up with me lately.

This week I ended up hanging out with Doug a lot, which was very nice.  Friday night we went to Cubby Bear with his roommate Nick (he is seriously so weird) and John Coin to hear Maggie Speaks.  This was my first experience with Cubby Bear on a weekend and I have to say I wasn’t very impressed.  Everyone seemed incredibly wasted and appeared very young.  We think it’s possible that they were still in high school.  Nevertheless, the band was good and I realized how humorous drunk people dancing truly are.  Saturday night Katie & Allie came up from home, and Hillary and her boyfriend ventured into the city.  We ended up going to Barleycorn and Allie managed to find yet another black man to dance with.  I also ran into Doug that night, and I learned that he has many hot friends.  Very impressive.  Today I went with Doug to Jim’s house to watch the game.  Very disappointing.  I was really looking forward to celebrating in style tonight.  O well, this is probably better b/c now I might actually study tomorrow.  What is it the Cub’s say?  O yeah, “We’ll get them next year.”  I guess we’ll just have to settle for winning baseball this year.

P.S.  this weather is awesome.  I hope it doesn’t change, even though I would like to go skiing sometime.  O, and the building they kept showing during the game that said “Go Bears” was Doug’s apartment.

BUT i am free for the first weekend in feb if that works for u. im sure i would be more than happy to get out of carbondale by that point.

I would like to make a correction...Ali found at least two black men and there were long stretches of the night when I did not see her so who knows what the final count was.
