Well, this weekend did end up being a lot of fun. Maybe even too much fun, seeing as how I’m still sick and I have a ton of work to do. Friday afternoon I met Sean for drinks, and then Jen and I went to happy hour in Evanston. Can I just mention that only 3 other people from school showed up. I don’t understand how these people study so much, but maybe this is something I will never grasp. Anyway, after that I headed home, and Cheryl & I met Kate downtown at Howl at the Moon. Even though I hadn’t heard great things about the bar, I thought it was quite fun. Maybe a little cheesy, but quite fun all the same. After that Cheryl and I went to another bar then headed back to my apartment to drink some more with some new friends. I ended up meeting and talking to my neighbor, Cory, that night for almost an hour. And, unfortunately, we ended up keeping Kate up for most of the night, and she has class Saturday morning. So, no more crazy Friday nights.
With my 2 hours of sleep, Saturday was a little rough, but I managed to study for most of the afternoon. That night I met someone from school at a party that was right by my house. Then, I met Jen & Trish at Joe’s to watch Mike & Joe. Unfortunately, we waited for 45 min or so to get in. Now, I know we’ve had a rather mild winter, but Saturday night ended up being cold and I really wasn’t wearing enough clothing to stand outside for that long. My feet were numb by the time we got inside, but at least I was wearing boots and not stilettos like the girl in front of me. (Side note: I can't even remember the last time I waited for more than 10 min to get into a bar, but whatever.) The band was a lot of fun, and it was kind of funny to watch Jen and Trish fight (I think I actually had to seperate them a couple of times). We ended the night with a trip to the Golden Nugget and again I got very little sleep.
