Well, my trip home was as exciting as ever. At first, I actually thought the weekend might go smoothly and uneventful, but I’ve since come to the realization that this will probably only occur once a year for me and that was already filled during the weekend of Layne’s wedding. With that being said, it actually wasn’t too bad overall. I got to see old friends that I didn’t even realize how much I missed and of course little Bacca came home (but she really is no longer so little--- she’s actually wearing pants that I outgrew last year). Plus, I finally realized some stuff that I guess was a long time coming. And, I got in tons of shopping at the fabulous big box stores. I forget just how great Target, Wal-Mart, and Linens & Things truly are… or at least when they’re spread out and not excessively crowded.
Since I didn’t make a post after last weekend, I wanted to thank Evan and Kevin for there hospitality, especially for letting me steal the bed. Hanging out with all of you boys was as fun as ever, and hopefully we get to do it again soon. Wanless, be sure to call if you and Joanna are ever in the city. I also had a great time Saturday night when we through a surprise party for Jen. I have to admit, I am quite amazed that Trisha managed to pull the whole thing off w/o letting it slip. And, I’m impressed that no one else let it slip, including me. But, my favorite part is that I got a little bit of gossip out of the night that has absolutely nothing to do w/ me ;-)
