Parrots Bad for Relationships?
So I heard a story on the news this morning that I found rather humorous (and I guess a little sad). This couple has a gray African Parrot named Jeffrey that they’ve been trying to teach to speak. Up until recently, it had been rather slow at the whole process. Finally, after months of anticipation, Jeffrey began repeating, “I love you Garry.” One would think that this was a cute phrase for the bird, but unfortunately the man’s name wasn’t Garry. It turned out this his wife of 3 years had been having an affair with a man named Garry. In the end, the couple got a divorce and they sold off Jeffrey because they couldn’t bear to have the constant reminder. Craziness. Give it up to WGN for their fine journalism.
