Chicago Postal System

Alright, remember me bitching about the mail... well I wasn't making it up. Chicago just got ranked the worst city in the country for mail delivery. Apparently, unbenownst to me, ABC Chicago has been tracking numerous complaints for the last couple of months to see if they could get any scoop. In order to fix the problem, the postal system has added 200 more carriers. Honestly, in a city the size of Chicago when numerous people aren't getting their mail for days at a time, I don't think 200 more carriers is enough. I guess the upside to this is that I haven't been blacklisted on the postal system and they just suck here in general. Good to know.

It snowed here yet again today. And by "again," I mean for the 5th day in a row. However, today was not the flurries we've been seeing. It snowed from 6am until 2pm straight and O'Hare got a record 3 inches. In the course of my move I had decided to pack all of my winter clothes separately in a big tub for storage. Thankfully I was too lazy to move them anywhere and had left them in my car; otherwise I'm not sure what I would be wearing right now.

US Postal System

I swear to God I hate the US postal system. I really don't understand what the hell their problem is. I have had more problems with them in the past year than I could even imagine possible. The latest is that they haven't' delivered something in 9 days that I had shipped from Kodak. I know that it got to their downtown Chicago office on Jan 3rd, yet I have not received it. When I called to ask about the package or how it could take so long, their response was they can only track Express mail and that if it hasn't gotten their in 14 business days to call back. And when I asked why it takes them 14 days to deliver something she simply said it depends on the bulk of mail they have at the time. I then responded that this would be the reason that people no longer like to use the US mail. I mean, 14 days in the same city. That's ridiculous. Really, they probably no it's to me and I'm flagged or something for the last run-in I had with them, which I am still bitter about. Yes, I hold grudges.
